kitfit1 Posted November 25, 2007 Thanks mknwatt. That's a little while ago now, she's running nice and happy at 478x9 (4.3gig) at the moment. I'll probably get round to updating that entry, when i finish clocking it
wevsspot Posted November 25, 2007 Simply outstanding. 4.3ghz is amazing. Just another testimonial on how great some of these Gigabyte boards are.
kitfit1 Posted November 25, 2007 As i said, "when i finish clocking it". I thought i had posted the screenie below on the street before, but i can't find it so i'd better post it now. I think from that you can tell what my target is  In all reality though, i think for 24/7 running somwhere between 4.3gig and 4.4gig is likely to be a more realistic outcome. And you are right wevsspot, these Gigabyte mobo's are amazing (for a 965 as well).
s1ick Posted November 25, 2007 WOW very nice OC what crucial memory do you have running at that speed!
kitfit1 Posted November 25, 2007 what crucial memory do you have running at that speed! It's Ballistix 8500.
s1ick Posted November 25, 2007 very nice, what i meant was that speed coupled with those timings!
kitfit1 Posted November 25, 2007 what i meant was that speed coupled with those timings! They will do 533 at those timings. It looks like i may have struck lucky with this particular set of Ballistix. In another thread in the AMD overclocking section, Doc dos'nt seem to be able to get the same ram to run at these speeds or timings. Just the luck of the draw i suppose.
