Ouch, lol

I found that gem on the Danger Den fourms....i had answered another one of the guys questions, and somehow missed the "no TIM" comment.

How do you manage to piece together a computer and water cooling setup and NEVER ONCE REALIZE you should be using some sort of TIM?

HOW?

MY mind boggles, for sure.

me: Who talked Dave into buying a Mac?

IT guy: I dunno, It wasn't me

me: Well, why did he get a Mac?

IT guy: Because his PC did what they always do

me: Which is?

IT guy: It F**ked up

me: It was the hard drive. I replaced it and it works fine

IT guy: So

me: So wait, you think hardware failure is a PC thing?

IT guy: (blank stare)

me: (walks away wondering what 5% of computer users would do with their lives if Steve Jobs never existed.)

Just to clarify, our IT guy is one of the most knowledgeable Pro Tools guys in Nashville, but he is also the epitome of Apple Fanboyism.

A 7-series Quadro will outperform any GeForce 8-series GPU, and it will eat up (eat up <--- make a note of this) Crysis.

The re-released GTS is not a G92 core.

Again, the re-released GTS is not a G92, and the only difference between the new and old is the PCI-E 2.0 interface and the new reference HSF.

All of this taken from various reviewers opinions from Newegg, all of these people designate their tech level as "high."

I'm not one to bash unless provoked, but what?!

There ya' go. :tooth:

I'm "Renown" and I might be mistaken but "Taowolf51" might be our very own.

I realize that's a dead link (for whatever reason)...

Let's do it this way...

I just had a buddy arguing that AMD was stupid for releasing the PHENOM processor with three cores on it. Making sure to point out that the product was simply a quad core with one of the cores turned off.

He was laughing to himself about how lame having THREE cores was because it wasn't an even number of cores like a dual or quad core processor.

I then pointed out that he'd been using computers with an odd number of cores for years.

He actually shouted that I was crazy.

So I reminded him that before dual and quad cores there was only a single core on a processor and ONE is an odd number of cores.

He just hung the phone up.

Big dummy!
