Do not hold breath...skin coloration will become bluish tint before passing out or deceasing.

RGone...

no I am not RGone... I'm just a paranoid highschool kid who makes near minimum wage and likes to prolong the life of his parts when possible. Board hits 400FSB for me right now just fine and for the moment I am happy... CPU can run at this level(3.2GHz) with 1.2-1.3V(haven't tested extensively) when set from software.

EDIT:misread that... I thought you said I was RGone whom I am not... didn't realize you were referring to yourself...

to be honest I am happy with this board as is, I just well... everyone can have their desires for little extra settings...

Revived my board and flashed to this 11/15/06 Bios, but im starting to think my board is toasted. I cant go past even 300fsb....board wont boot, it turns on for a sec and instantly shuts dow. And yes I have read thru the OC guides thoroughly. highest it got was a pathetic 280fsb but anything above that and it's no boot, lol. Dunno if I've missed an important tweak or something but it's starting to get annoying, im not asking for much 9x300 would be more than enough for me.

Have you tried dropping your mem divider? You're not going to get much past 370 - 380 with DDR2 667. Try 533 @ 310. That should work. I have DDR2 667 as well and can't get past 388 on the 400 divider but it'll boot at 380 @ DDR2 533... most of the time. ;)

I'm a relative overclocking newb, and even I get 400+ FSB with this board. I can do suicide runs at 433 without mods as well.

FSB 400

I'm running RAM 1:1

chipset voltage 1.6V

CPU voltage 1.325V in bios, 1.26V in windows

Memory Voltage 2.05V

my guess is something on your board got destroyed if it won't boot past 300 FSB, mine hit 333FSB the first time I tried it with a VERY CRAPPY BIOS(compared to the current at least)

Dunno whos or what's magic hand touched this board, but it's up and running flawlessly for a change. Priming on the backgroud as I type this at 3ghz/1.325V temps being around 30C idle and 50C full load, so I can't complain anymore:) Not gonna pursue a higher OC for now, as im running with a Radeon 550 at the moment and dont see the benefits of higher clocks in everyday use and I'd like to keep the juice as low as possible.

I end this with a few pics, and yes im a thermalright fan.

Sorry for the picture quality, taken with my phone.

Dunno how that differs from my open air setup....oh well. The parts have been in various cases but i prefer the open air style now, easy to fiddle with it

Some in case shots...with same poor quality.
