Hey guys, haven't posted here for a while but I'm wondering what the update is! :)

I'm very interested in these conroe chips and will probably switch my system over once the lanparty board comes out as I've always bought them and love the boards to death!

Thanks.

P.S. I also liked your first post, I'm one of those in the top 10-15%. I love my 2407 and 1920x1200 res :D

ok, some E6400 OCDB entries

both are using Corsair XMS2 Dominator DDR2-800 @ 4-4-4-12

the first one is using the 533 divider @ 375x8 (3000Mhz):

the second one is the same exact setup but I had to drop to the 400 divider and went up to 400x8 (3200Mhz):

I will of course update as I get more done. I'm right now running Orthos @ 425x8 (3400Mhz) on the 400 divider using these Dominator 800's.

Once I feel like I've peaked out, I will go back through with some Dominator 1066's, OCZ's ATI Crossfire Certified, etc and try various memory timings, dividers, etc

you won't find this out

ever....it's nonsense

you can find a decent drop if you say went with a Tornado 140CFM fan (but then it is like being underneath a 747's wing with the engines running...and that just isn't realistic for normal use), but even then you won't really find such a thing as a 15C drop just by what kind of fan you use.

You want one of these http://www.coolerguys.com/840556021698.html but you still won't get a 15C drop. I'm not sure what it sounds like, haven't hooked it up yet. I did try one of the 92mm Tornado's once though. Plugged it in by itself to hear it because everyone said they were loud. I thought it wasn't too bad, so I hooked it up - well when I turned the system back on and had to crank the volume up just to be able to hear what was coming from my speakers, it came back out pretty quick.
