Coors Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 For the chipset I put less than what I put on a cpu. Thats just what I did though...any more and it seemed like it would just spread out and overflow the chip. But I was also using AS5 and not ceramique so I was being a little bit more careful. alright Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 In the general chipset cleaning tutorial you smear the TIM manually, but in the video you simply apply the dot and let the heatsink smear it via pressure. Is this personal preference or would you only recommend allowing the heatsink to spread it if using ceramique as it is non-conductive?
