Angry_Games Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 lol nice angry...... rub, rub, rub blot, blot, blot just what kind of video are you making here. lol kinda freaked me out, first time i ever heard your voice and wasn't expecting that deep sexy voice. anyway just got sick of watching my chipset temp's run higher than my cpu so i thought i'd come over and see what coolers you guys are running.thats when i found your vid. thanks again for the heads up,i gota go to newegg now. heh that's my "porno" voice seriously...to myself, I sound every bit the nasal jew that I am in real life and that is stereotyped. everyone else says I have a deep sexy voice but when I hear it played back, it just sounds nasal, whiny, and...well..like a jewish grandma sounds when she's about 70 lol. follow General's link for cooling products...it helps the Street! (and it might cost $1.00 more but that is for a good cause right? heh)

klwoon Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 i'm not sure if i'm the only one having this problem. I installed the vc-rf for about half a year and now it make a lot of noice as if something blocking the rotation. I took everything out and clean all the dust but still the rpm stay below 1k, and if the computer on for few hours, the cooler rpm drop to 100+. if i tap the fan lightly, it will rotate a little better at around 1000 rpm for few seconds before drop back to 100+ rpm. and the fan is very very hot, could this be the problem? or i suspect the fan is a vga fan so it might not be suitable to be seated vertically? thank you for all the possible advice. General Septem Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 It definitely doesn't matter if it's vertical or horizontal. Sounds to me like either something's obstructing it (take a real good look) or the fan is just old/defective.
BDore Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Did my install a few weeks ago. I had to buy this two times. First time I couldn't get it to fit I don't know why. Kept in the box for a few days went for a second try but it got oxide or smth. Watched the video here and bought another one and now its ok. Rogue` Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Just registered on these forums after owning my Expert for a couple of weeks and I am already annoyed by the noise the 7000rpm stock chipset cooler makes (turned it down to a constant 4500rpms with SmartGuardian for now)...was asking if a Zalman NB47J would be good enough for the job, but was pointed towards this thread Watched the vid which was very well made and full of useful tips, and I will buy one of these Evercool coolers asap.....just need to find somewhere in the UK that has them in stock, can't seem to find any on fleabay.... Anyway, thanks for the tutorial

General Septem Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 So I just installed it. Temps seem to be hovering between 40-42C, compared with the previous approximately 47-51+ C. I love the LED. And it's not completely silent (it's not in a case so you have to expect to hear something) but it's quieter than the stock, and it's broadband so it's not as invasive as the whine the old one used to have. Right now my system is so silent that typing on the keyboard is almost deafening, lol I have to say, I was leaning towards the HR-05. I was unimpressed by the generic looking VC-RE. But when my stock cooler rocked the other day I figured having a tower on it would rock even easier. On top of that I did like the LED. So I went with this. I am glad I did. It's so much nicer in real life than what I had seen in any pictures. I was a little nervous about the installation but this video made it easy. Thanks. kosch Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 Great work, just downloaded the video, gave me the confidence to give swapping the chipset hfs a go =) Just one question, is the evga cooler in terms of height bigger than the existing DFI one as I have my the end 2nd GPU sitting over the top of it.
