naddie Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 I have a x2 3800+ manchester E4 and I was able to OC it to 2500 MHz at 1.475v and runs dual-prime stable. I also bought an x2 4400+ toledo E6 for testing (pending return or for keeps depending on results), and was able to OC it to 2640 MHz at 1.475v and runs dual-prime stable. Both CPUs can't go a single HTT higher even with a step up in voltage (next step is 1.5v). Are these typical OCs for these CPUS? I find many can hit 2.6 or 2.7 easily with a manchester 3800+, and some can go as high as 2.8 with a toledo.
mlinz23 Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Currently my X2 3800+ is running 2.6ghz @ 1.45v....i've tried 2.7 @ 1.5v and core 2 failed prime... 2.65 seems fine at 1.45v also as it primed overnight no problem, but my memory so far doesn't like anything past 263 with out a divider so i backed it down to 260 for now. I also have a X2 4400+ in an SLI-DR board and it it takes 1.5v to get it stable at 2.6...so so far my 3800 is killing it price/performance wise. I haven't seen many X2 Toledos doing 2.8 with out some serious voltage. The general consenses is that the X2 3800+ Manny overclocks better than the other X2's in the line up. bozotheclown Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 My X2 4400+ does 2600Mhz (237x11) at 1.35v, at 1.45v it does 2700Mhz, at 1.55v it does 2800Mhz dual Prime stable for 24+hrs. The only problem I have when I go over 2700Mhz is temperature but I'm solving that with the Scythe Ninja I purchased. I can't wait till it arrives:) I have a x2 3800+ manchester E4 and I was able to OC it to 2500 MHz at 1.475v and runs dual-prime stable. I can't run anything more than 2600 (260 x10) lesser than 1.5V. Apprently i keep failing at 2.7 no matter how hard i try by pushing 1.5 to 1.65v

red930 Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 I think the average oc for most X2's falls around 2600-2650. I can push 2700...barely. But in my case I have to push a lot of voltage to reach these levels. I wish I had a 4400 that'd hit 2800 at less than 1.6 volts...
avman Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 technodanvan - What sort of temps are you getting?
mcpdigital Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 My 3800 X2 Manchester is doing fine at 250x10, 1.375V *110%. Memory is being pushed to the same, 250MHz, CAS 3.3.5.3-1T. I can run 260x10 but need to increase voltage to at least 1.475v * 104 or even higher. This processor is a real bargain when comparing with other 64s xX2. I'm even happier with it than the Barton 2500@3200 of my prior rig (wifes rig now). Marcelo
bozotheclown Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 I don't know, when I get my Scythe Ninja I have to take off the cooler and put on new as5 so I'll have the chance to take a look. Ill post it then. May I ask what is your stepping for your X2 4400? I can't run anything more than 2600 (260 x10) lesser than 1.5V. naddie Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 So am I doing something wrong, or is my Manchester really only a 2.5GHz max baby?
avman Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 You should be pretty safe adding more Volts - aim to top out at 50C load and see what sort of OC you can get with that. From what I've seen - Most X2's need 1.5-1.6v to hit the high oc's
naddie Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Now would that be 50*C actual temps, or 50*C what MBM reports from an Expert?
