omga14 Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 good idea there AG. well i'm stuck with stock speeds on the cpu i have now. runs prime95 for days but won't go 2mhz over stock HTT stable. i think it has somethng to do with the mem controller now being able to handle double sided ram. anyone heard of this. i've changed mobos (still have the 250gb) but that didn't do anything. tried a freinds ram bu t the best i can do with this cpu is stock and having to run a 166 divider. i've tried different timings and other suggestions to no avail. i'm getting a sempron later this month. anyone heard of this happening to these cpu's? don't want to have to go through this again. oops, i apologize AG. jumped the gun and didn't do the rules first. delete if you like. i'll do the runs and repost later. ram happens to be TwinMos Speed Premium BH-5 PC3200 2x512mb
colelt1 Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005 I just posted my g.skill 550/ddr600 memory stock speed results. Edit, sorry: http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=30198 "I am about to begin overclocking, hope to get around 2.6 on air, and would be awesome to get 300x9 if possible." Want to clarify that statement, shooting for 2.4 @ under 1.5v 24hr stable, and 2.6 on air in about a month (prob will max at 2.5) 12hr stable. JTplus Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 I am still trying to figure out my stock settings for my memory. The bios has much more options than I am used to. I followed Rgone's stock settings here: http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5844, and made adjustments for my memory speeds, 2 3 2 5, but the rest is as he suggested. I am getting memory errors on the 4th test of memtest. Keekles is suggesting that I flash my BIOS to a non Expert version, but I do not feel comfortable doing that, and suggestions?
