ir_cow Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 what do yo mean worse, like sluggish? I wouldn't just say it's the the power supply until I got my details. If its crashing than yeah you need more power or at least go back and fine tune the motherboard settings. It's possible the extra power draw is too much across all three. Waco Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 It's probably throttling.
WarWeeny Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 It's probably throttling. This, those room heaters get quite hot you know xD
jdm_freek Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 its noT drop throttling it's only reaching 75 degrees C even if I overclock the CPU my benchmarking sores get worse
ccokeman Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 Install MSI Afterburner and open up the monitoring window by detaching it from the main app. Expand the time frame out then loop Unigine 4.0 at maximum settings. Check your clock speeds about 3 to 5 minutes into the run and you will most likely see some throttling.
WarWeeny Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 its noT drop throttling it's only reaching 75 degrees C even if I overclock the CPU my benchmarking sores get worse Most temp programs only take temps from the core temperature, maybe the cooler isn't cooling the VRM correctly and it throttles because those get hot.
