El_Capitan Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Definitely a good card to get for eyefinity, that's for sure (or two cards if you've got some mad bank).
red1776 Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Great review Did you try the 1/712 v2.2.0 Beta 10 of Afterburner? I know it says added Reference 7970, but it has surprised me a few times.

Celcius Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 (edited) In the review, you mentioned that when you overclocked the card "without extra voltage needs, the temperatures of the GPU stayed consistent". So when overclocked to 1125/1575 with the fan on auto, load temps were still ~80C? What % did the fan ramp up to on auto and how would you rate the volume? Black64 Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 (edited) Looks like it traded blows with the 580GTX, I am a little sad it wasn't on par the 6990 and 590 thou. It justified it's price, but it doesn't make it a good value. Â I really want to see 580 SLI VS 7970 X-fire. Which is King? PremiumAcc Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Great review. I was a little disappointed that it didn't beat the 590 in the benchmarks. I am suspecting the 7990 will take the 590 down though. But let us hope it won't match the gtx 590 in terms of pricing.
