  1. I want to flash from outside Windows, like at boot. Should I burn the .iso as is or burn it as a bootable CD? Thanks
  2. I had to upgrade BIOS to 623, play around with the PCI slots, eventually, the drivers installed and the board was recognized. Well worth the time spent - BF2 sounds AWSOME on a Sennheiser HD-600 phones! Forget Audigy stuff if you can afford a good system like this....
  3. I'm hooked on BF2, as some here seem also to be, and am looking at buying 2x512 PDP memory more for my rig. I'd appreciate some feedback on wether is worthwhile doing it, even if my OC has to come down a bit on the MHz side and running 2T. Also, what would be a good BIOS since I'm still running 1902, the best one for my system until 310 came out. Stopped BIOS rolling since then :-
  4. In the past I've done some of those tests on my actual rig, just to "see" what CPC was all about as far as bandwidth/speed was concerned. Never got to register the tests on my spreadsheet so I could post here too, since the loss of performance was so evident, at least on synthetic applications which were used. The only real application used was a HL2 benchmark, and the results were pretty similar 1T or 2T... With Marks&Sandras the performance difference was also greater than on Pimod, as I well recall.
  5. look here for tips http://xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=56685. Are you sure you got utt stuff?
  6. Nice Diego french info stuff here... http://www.overclocking-masters.com/forum/...opic.php?id=291
  7. AthlonAlien there is a limit to tight timings. Maybe you found yours. I cannot run my mems like you either 2.5, 4, 3, 6 it must be past 245htt
  8. This one is very cool also http://www.iamnotageek.com/printer-10.html
  9. Up to 2.9 I don't think you need active cooling on them. I recently got an 80mm Revoltec Dark Blue on it, just in case... I'll try to push to 3.0 some time in the near future, but I don't think it will help my winnie mem controller lol.
  10. check here http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread...ghlight=patriot
  11. The 1A-NB-SLI will fit perfectly on our DFI baby. Browse until about mid page for it...
  12. Most of those guys, if not all of them, have cherry picked components for them. I'm not implyning there's no skill, because no doubt those crazy results require it, but having a sponsor giving you a few samples of "everything" to test and choose DOES help too.
  13. These are my notes. As for BIOS version I started this thread which could also help somehow... FSB Bus - 259 LDT/FSB - 3 LDT Bus - 16/16 CPU/FSB - 10 PCI-E - 101 CPU VID StartUp - 1.425 CPU VID Control - 1.475 CPU VID Special Control - 110% LDT voltage control - 1.4 Chip Set Voltage Control - 1.8 DRAM Voltage Control - 2.9 DRAM Freq - 200 CPC - Enable Tcl - 2.5 Trcd - 4 (no way 3 above 250) Tras - 6 Trp - 3 Trc - 8 Trfc - 11 Trrd - 2 twr - 3 Twtr - 2 Trwt - 4 Tref - 4708 (crazy timing here. I can do any setting with Interleave disabled, other wise very picky... 16, 32, 64, 128, 780 only) Twcl - 1 Bank Interleave - Disable (loss of bandwith here, but Enabled can't seem to work memtest above 253) Skew Control - Decrease (have no idea what this setting is about... eihter way seems to make no difference at all) Skew Value - 96 (or this one) Drive Strenght - 7 (can do 8 also...) Data Drive Strength - 4 Max Async - 7 Read Preambule - 5 IdleCycle Limit - 256 Dynamic Counter - Disable R/W Queue Bypass - 16 Bypass Max - 7 32 Byte Granularity - Disable I can memtest these settings up until at least 270 for 12 hours. Being OCCT and memtest stable I still can find no way to get it at 260x10
