I'm running 2x Tornado's + Hyper6 Here's my first attempt a while back @ 3.0ghz with my mem on a divider: http://www.sysxtreme.com/showthread.php?t=1130 2nd attempt with new OCZ ram 1:1 and processor @ 3.1ghz http://www.sysxtreme.com/showthread.php?t=1498 Most of the time i run at 3.0ghz because it seems more stable than 3.1ghz (even tho it completed a 7hr prime). ACook Posted June 19, 2005 Posted June 19, 2005 I'm just hours away from a complete reinstall, from scratch everything, with this memory, should I update my bios? I believe it is XMS-PC3200C2 Rev1.2/2.2 (2-3-3-6-1T) which means Winbond CH-6.. check sig for timings now, it's all set to auto in bios. Nil Einne Posted June 19, 2005 Posted June 19, 2005 Sound good, sound good... I'm tempted to try but it's still too new for me. I don't have a backup bios or bios saviour so I don't dare try anything until a week to reduce the chance the will be a major problem that goes undetected
yongq Posted June 20, 2005 Posted June 20, 2005 Hi guys, Couldnt see a thread in this section about this, so i thought i better let you all know. I've flashed with it, and it looks good so far (it hasn't hindered my overclock at all). Available here: http://oskarwu.myweb.hinet.net/dfi/betabios/N4D618-1.zip http://oskarwu.myweb.hinet.net/dfi/betabios/N4D618-2.zip http://oskarwu.myweb.hinet.net/dfi/betabios/N4D618-3.zip Or mirrored here: http://www.sysxtreme.com/showthread.php?p=24763 Bios 6/15 or 6/18 problem, you try this setting http://img72.echo.cx/img72/3371/bios5109ff.jpg http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14536
RedDem0n Posted June 20, 2005 Posted June 20, 2005 I just tried it and it works great. I also moved my bh-5 memory to the yellow slots and it works just dandy. No problems so far. I am running the -1 Bios. Just had to change the memory voltage to 3v for my memory in order for it to be stable.
HoUnD Posted June 20, 2005 Posted June 20, 2005 Running the 618-3 now... sweet so far. I tried the -2 variant and the 3/10 (-3) ram table for TCCD or TCC5 just runs better for me. I got errors in the -2 variant on OCCT and stable on the -3 with the same settings. O well.
aggybong Posted June 20, 2005 Posted June 20, 2005 Much worse for me. In 510-2 I was extremely stable, but with 618-2, games freeze within 30 minutes. I will try 618-3 first, but if that doesn't work, back to 510-2 I go
RedDem0n Posted June 20, 2005 Posted June 20, 2005 Just updated, working fine so far. Also have my bh-5 memory switched to the yellow slots
xms Posted June 20, 2005 Posted June 20, 2005 I don't know if any of the rest of you experienced this, but when i flashed, it put the setting "Dram +0.03 v if not 3.2v" (or whatever) to Enabled. This caused my rig to be unstable coz my TCCD totally hates anything more than 2.7v for some reason.

I made sure that one setting was set to Pin Strap, but still no internet. Flashed back to 615, and WTF? Still no internet. I'm on 310 right now and it has been the most stable for me so far. flexy Posted June 20, 2005 Posted June 20, 2005 my $0.02 if you have TCCD mem, like OCZ Rev2 plats etc...try 618-3 ! Seems to work very well ! Btw. i NEVER had any problems with non working devices like USB/LAN etc....also..you SHOULD not use the Marvell/Gigabit LAN anyway, it blows chunks ! (Uses far more resources and CPU than the NV LAN). Also...i never ever (since i have this board) had to enter my MAC address anywhere.
