Yeah my northpole chipset cooler wouldn't fit...technically I COULD make it fit because the little lip that goes off from the edge that allows the screws to pass through and hold it to the board can fit as long as they sit between the grooves on the little heatsink strip for the 6800GT's MOSFETS lol....but then that'd mean I wouldn't be able to remove my card ever :P

I have a little 60mm fan that's like 6000RPM and 40CFM that I'll probably rig to hover above the chipset so if it is a heat issue that should help out....I just got done refilling my WC loop for the 2nd time because of leaks the first time, so I don't really care to try and remove the board at this point :)

No leaks this 2nd time around but I'm sure as hell paranoid to turn it on now =/

I just gotta reseat the CPU and fire the system up but now I'm all nervous after that first leak.

The only way to know is to give it a try. Wasn't attackin ya personally bro :) Just wanted to make the point that the board is BRAND SPANKIN NEW and some folks bought it full well knowing this and then proceeded to snivel...Quite irritating :D

Honestly, I booted her up on full auto a few times and that was it. Just finished doing all the windows updates and security patches runnin 400mhz OC'd without a hitch and minimal tweaking in the bios. Installed a few other programs. Ran a half hour of OCCT and she's runnin like a champ. I'm sure that comment may come back around and bite me in the butt, but so far so good..Still lot's of testing to be done...

If you decide to keep it, best of luck and hope you enjoy it. If not, well I hope you end up with what yer after and enjoy that too ;)

Aye. No mobo comes out perfect. And its not like the issues people are reporting cannot be fixed.

Aside from the obvious incorrect vcore readings, I've been running it fine. Although, I haven't overclocked anything, yet.

Guest bobyjo

PornLoader::Thank You, I just ordered one of them.

They still have the mobo in stock.

I did not pay attention as to how many they had, just that it is in stock.

This will by my first time to change out a mobo, while running a raid array. Are there anything that I need to be told about when switching over. Or just hook up the SATA cables. The drivers are already in the OS. The mobo I have now is a nF3 Ultra, just not DFI. Thanks BJ

I heard that Hank. I never move any motherboard from the 'hobby/play' to a full time working board until I have beat it up for at least 6 to 8 weeks. Just too much hassle to try to work on a box and tweak and sort it at the same time. Especially if there seem to be issues. I put my worst cpu the 3500+ Winchester in here at 240x11=2640mhz, for right now and just surfing some and feeling it out until they release a bios with the necessary or some of the necessary updating because mine seems to turn off and when it comes back up it is in a new world so far. HEhehehehe. Funny sum beeches are these brand new boxes.

Anyway I gripped your attitude because it is one I have to live by as I need at least 2 computers "ready" for work each and every 24/7.

Luck man.

RGone...

I post the picture later, i do think that (not sure) if you remove the tape and apply some fresh AS5 it will do a better job.

It fits with my 6800GT and 9700Pro, but i'am almost certain that a 6800 ultra will not fit.

Maybe you be better of waiting for AG and a new bios from DFI, this is my hobby pc so i dont care it will blow up... i take the risk and if i damage something well bad luck iam sportive enough not to RMA parts that i damage myself.

I generally agree with you, but this is not the case of new technology that comes out..it's a technology 1 year old and DFI is showing the same troubles that MSI and others manifacturers had 1 year ago
