im starting to ramp up the clock speeds on my cpu again after a while of running stock, i was at 10x293 now i cant seem to get over 10x272 whats the highest core voltages this cpu can handle under air cooling ?

For air personally I wouldnt go over 1.6v but if temps arent an issue your probably safe even up to 1.7v but dont go near 1.75v (you'll do permanent memory controller damage).

1.7 is pushing it HARD! alway keep those temps below 48C and then push it well into the top 1.5's

im up to 10x295 @ 1.6v temps r 38 deg. C at idle

who cares about idle? it's load temps you should be watching... idle temps you only care about when assessing the performance of your cpu cooling...

My 148 loves 1.6v. My cooling can handle more volts, but the benefits above 1.6v are very small on this chip. Going to almost 1.7v for another 50mhz or so just isn't worth it to me. That seems like too much voltage for a chip you plan to keep, and 50mhz is a joke when it comes to real performance. From all the 3700/146/148 clocks I've seen around here over the last year or so, I think it's pretty safe to assume 1.6ish is the sweet spot for your chip as well.

my 148 liked 1.623v. i relly didnt push any harder on the volts , maybe i should have gone as far as 1.65.
