Myspace obviously has legitimate use to some people, be it a "place for stupid people to gather" or not, it's not the end of the world really, now is it, and complaining about it won't make it go away. American telly gives myspace a lot bad criticism, which leads to more people hating it. If you've ever seen Dr. Phil, you'll know what I'm on about. Sure, some of the sites are annoying, but look at the who that does that anyway; teenage girls, mostly. If you make your own, you control what it looks like. Myspace has got a bad rep, online preditors, they never think about the resonsibility of the person who signs up with Myspace and the personal information they give out or the fact they allow themselves to engage in conversation or connect with people they do not even know. My niece is on Myspace and she is very careful. She did not post her address, home town or any other personal info. She is very careful with whom she adds as buddies and with whom she chats with.. Shure there are some people who use Myspace for illegal reasons, but that goes for all online journal sites and places where teens can post and chat, but I really feel it's the users responsiblity in how and what they do while on those sites.
