Verran Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 These pictures were clearly taken to make a big deal out of the fact that they put water on their pc parts. This person was clearly putting on a show. A person who's just casually "washing" their PC parts wouldn't take pics like this. I'm almost 100% sure he found these pics somewhere and is using them to play a trick on you.
SMeeD Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 I think its a joke, I cant find a reason why anyone would do that. It looks like it was set up too.
NCC10281982B Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 Its kind of a risky thing to do, though it can be done, even to an asus mobo.
bigred Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 has anyone here actually seen motherboards being made? they actually WASH them at the factory in special racks before attaching anything with adhesive tape or glue and heatsinks. of course that's in a water based solvent that cleans all the crap off them. Archerzz Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 I am going to say this is a lie. But you never know.
stitch_626 Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 I've washed a MB from an old IBM XT. I just made sure it was dry and I didn't use any detergent so any impurities would be left behind. I used water from one of those NSA filters that you hook to your faucet. Worked fine.
