bigred Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 (edited) why not put motherboard and video card as one here? for this app I suggest onboard video... perhaps this $65 on avearage is cheaper than the first suggested board, plus it leaves you with a PCI express slot to upgrade to. cchalogamer Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 tell your boss he's a dumbass if he wants PCs for this price, whit this kind of hardware.....hell send his @$$ to dell. and wtf does he need a 256mb card for 2D crap....any 16mb+ integrated solution would do just fine.... I just dont see it being done for the money....

BiPolar Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 i say upgrade case/psu. You probably should have tried to convince your boss that the x600 was overkill for 2D, as well as the Venice. I think an opteron chip would suit his needs just fine. WHy don't you try pricing out a system with onboard gpu or a budget gpu and an sempron? If it's a good deal cheaper, and you go to him with the new specs and why it could save him money, he might really appreciate it. <edit>accidentally wrote opteron instead of sempron</edit>
Guest FxXP Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Well an Opteron processor is NOT cheaper by any means. As for the graphics card, if its not doing much, downgrade to the X300SE 256MB.
