bigred Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 hold up. lets go over a few things with vector. 1: they've been banned in canada and a few states. they can't sell or hire due to "less than legal practices". 2: the whole pay structure is based on when you're IN the client's home. not the 10 hours you work to get just one sales chance. 3: you're required to buy your OWN set of cutco knives @ $400 out of your own pocket 4: your "homework" durring training is to go "practice" selling knives to your friends and family (you're expected to sell at least 3 sets for NO money) 5: the "interview" is BS. everyone there will be hired. 6: the sales training is so scripted it's not funny. they don't teach how to deal with rejections... just pack up and leave. it's NOT sales by any stretch of the imagination. I wish you luck, by NOT going and doing this... I looked into this when I was in high school... god it was horrible. I urge you to do a little reading on them... it's really ugly. BionicSniper Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 ohh i make 6.50 an hour! soon to be 7....
bigred Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 yeah, but that's $6.50 an hour for every hour you work. here's how it works @ vector. cold calls = no money per hour, no reinbursement for phone calls 4 hours travel time = no money, no miliage expense 20 minutes step foot in a customer's home = thier "great wages" (what ever it is per hour now). average time on site 30 min... not paid for full hour leave customer's home to go home = no money, no milage 20 minutes fill out paper work = no money per hour 20 min go to sales meetings = no money, no milage 2 hours. WOW you just put in 7 1/2 hours and got paid for 1/2 hour total. sounds like a real winner of a deal.
