gravy Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 i just got off the phone with comcast, they said pretty much the entire eastern seaboard is having DNS issues on their end, but they are working on it, just figured i'd let you guys know, seems you can connect to some sites, depending on where the server is located, like i can get to this one, but not any site...... Byron Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 Yeah, I have comcast, and I am having some major issues with some sites such as google, gmail.google.com, frozencpu., and some others. Luckily the 3 boards I visit are still good :-P

ravix Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 (edited) heh, the ONLY site I regularly go to that is still up is this one. I feel so cut off from the world. I was going to order my new laptop from dell today, too. Â edit: does anyone know of any reliable dns servers I could use while comcast is on the fritz? I'd google it, but that isn't an option at the moment. Edited April 8, 2005 by ravix

Onyks Posted April 13, 2005 Posted April 13, 2005 so um i have comcast and it was screwy and i had read this post. i tried to get on M$ IE and it worked for ten minutes perfectly... then it died again. Oh well. still confused why firefox had more trouble than IE with this whole ordeal. Ive done this 3 or 4 times, IE will work for a little while then stop. Firefox just doesnt load most sites at all. Any explanation?
Guest Jeremy Posted April 13, 2005 Posted April 13, 2005 I hope this isn't normal behavior for Comcast? I'm switching to Comcast from Bellsouth in a couple months.
