Fireonice Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 ok today i got a new wu and i saw that it takes 70 mins for one step!!!! its only on step 3 out of 100...... <_< its a p1475_tet1_03_1 gromacs core... and it has a bunch of silver dots or w/e there called in the graphical clinent... why so long... it says iuts going to end the 22... how many points it worth?? sykocus Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 it's worth 364pts. I have a similar WU but it only takes 23mins a step on my sempron 3100+ (1.8ghz). perhaps you client is using SSE and thats slowing you down or this wu uses SSE2 (which your cpu doesn't support). gravy Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 if you do that you will have done no good for the world, do not delete it, they give it to you for a reason, not for points, the points mean nothing, and they get you nothing, so just let it run, please

gravy Posted March 18, 2005 Posted March 18, 2005 the big ones worth alot of point take days man, its normal, those tet_1's actually yield more ppd than others, i love the tet_1's personally if you want to avoid them remove the -advmethods and -bigpackets flags
hardnrg Posted March 18, 2005 Posted March 18, 2005 i think that protein actually yields the highest ppd by FAR on my a64... roughly about 485 ppd!!!!
Zeni Posted March 18, 2005 Posted March 18, 2005 Hmmm, still on a WU from last month, though really it only takes about 75 hours to finish, I've been screwed out of folding time by my move. Guess I'll be getting back into the swing of things now.
