5.25" Harddrives

i may (will) sound like an idiot when i say this, but if a manufacturer made a 5.25" drive with today's technology, would it be possible to have a larger capacity?

Yeah, it would but the seek times would likely be huge.

if they could do that, I guess they would with 3.5" drives.

I can beat that! 10 trillion RPS HD with 20 TB buffer. But as popular mechanics said in 1949, some day, computers will weigh 1.5 tons and contain only 1000 vacuum tubes.

i want to get a 15k hdd and mod it, they actually have 15k rpm hhds, look on newegg

dang, I haven't seen one of those in awhile. I remember those when I had a 486, 386, 286 and even my Commodore 64

had one in my old compaq, it was 1/2 height so i could squeeze another one in, i dont think it was from that computer, hard to say i had 3 hds with a combined total of 11gb of massive storage
