alown Posted May 21, 2005 Posted May 21, 2005 how to talis work. and what is the name of our guild.
Kamikaze_Badger Posted May 21, 2005 Posted May 21, 2005 OCCult is the un-official OCC guild. You don't have to join it, and there are plenty of good ones out there. I'll keep my opinions on them to myself for now. Â Talismans work by dragging them over and dropping them on your items in inventory. It'll then give you a prompt, blabbity blabbity blah, and then it'll enchant for a few seconds. If the talisman fails, it'll either break your weapon(rare if you've got NPC talismans on it), or lower it by 5 endurance(You can see the weapons endurance by hovering your mouse over it. It'll be in a x/x value, like 18/20). You can raise endurance by buying Fixing Tools from the NPC. They're cheapest at Geum-Oh Mine. Â Talismans are: Â Talisman of Attack (Effective on Weapon) - Raises attack on your weapon, has to be at least grade 40. Purchase from NPC, safe to enchant up to +4, and then buy two sets of polishing stones from the Item Shop and use those untill you get to +10. Chance of breakage or endurance drop increases as you enchant past +4. Â Talisman of Magic (Effective on Weapon) - Raises magical attack on your weapon, has to be at least grade 40. Purchase from NPC, safe to enchant up to +4, and then buy two sets of polishing stones from the Item Shop and use those untill you get to +10. Chance of breakage and endurance drop increases as you enchant past +4. Â Talisman of Accuracy (Effective on Weapon) - Rare, drops from monsters. A bit costly, about 250k. DO NOT FALL FOR 75K OR 125K SCAMS! They're selling talismans of magic, which look like Talismans of Accuracy. Raises OTP by one. Safe to enchant for the first time, then there's a chance of breakage and endurance drop. Â Talisman of Intensification (Effective on Weapon) - Not quite so rare, puts stats on your weapons or other stuff, such as OTP or Max Phys/Magical Attack. Â Â Talisman of Defense (Effective on Armor) - Very rare, I've never seen one but heard about them, and read about them. Raise defense by +1. Not sure of the safe zone for them. Â Talisman of Protectoin (Effective on Armor) - A bit more rare than Talisman of Intensifications. They add stats to your armor. Range quite a bit in price, but most sell for 100k+. Â Â List of talismans can be found here

ciddono Posted May 22, 2005 Posted May 22, 2005 No prob, seems like the ToW's can be a waste. A +1 after spending up to 225k on a single talisman...humph!
