yes the mechwarrior series is good - i have em all from mechwarrior 1 (yup 1) to all the current ones (even the mech packs from mektek) then theres always the never ending fun of postal 2 and postal 2 share the pain ^_^ the battlefield series is good - cause you can fake out your puter into thinking its a server and play an instant action type game with 63 bots going in a coop battle... if you like hard 3d shooter games and like alittle twist on things - try descent 3 - full 360 degree scrolling and its closely that of a flight sim first person shooter (gut wretching at times) and its cheap 10 bucks at walmart, ghost recon, the entire command and conquer series, serious sam series (its just fun to rampage heh), SIM THEME PARK OR SIM COASTER!!! Xiii, rise of nations, call of duty, moto gp, harbringer, raven shield, black hawk down, splinter cell, age of mythology.......

 

oh man i could go on for ever.... pick up a pc gaming mag at just about any grocery store and get a subscription - most the time you get great demo cd's - especially with Maximum PC ^_^

I used to me a member at the mektek forums, then I was banned for making a cd crack that works with any version of mechwarrior 4 mercs and posting it on the forums. (This was years ago) I just copied a few sectors from the original play CD and made a 5 meg iso that could load my game without needing to reach for my cd. As they take a strong stance agains't "ware'izm" they got in a hissy fit and temp banned me and I chose to never go back.

I just got Men Of Valor. I like it and it supposed to be real good single player (I play multiplayer)

Where did you haer that? All the reviews I have read say it's not very good at all.

 

Far Cry is a good shooter. And Morrowind is a very good very long RPG. I can sell them both to you for cheap. PM me if interested.

if you want to spend a lot of time playing, and you like RPGs, Neverwinter Nights is pretty awesome. weeks worth of playing. then there's the expansion packs. then if you make it though all of that, there's all the user created modules that make it pretty much endless.

Ya... NWN will give you a month or two to complete the game with one race/class.... then you can go back and play as other races and classes and end up with new quest.... the expansion packs add a lot to the game in the way of story, equipment, characters, and everything else.

 

If you finish NWN then there is also Morowind and it's addons.

 

It'll be about 6 months to finish NWN & Morowind.

I put so many hours into Morrowind, Tribunal, and bloodmoon I just can't take it anymore... Can't wait for Elder Scrolls IV to come out though I guess I'm gonna start tearing out the garage and house and see if I can find my CD-Key to Neverwinter Nights.

 

 

Ok, I've totaly destroyed my house looking for the stupid NWN Manuel. No luck <_< Anyone have a CD Key they dont use anymore. I don't play online so I just need one for install.

Have you ever played Morrowind? That's a great game, 40+ hours if you're good, 80+ if you buy the expansion

Alien vs Predator 2 + expansion pack. Its pretty old, but if you havent played it before it can be fun. You can play as an alien a predator and a human. It only costs like $20. And if your like me it will make you jump a few times too.

seriously dude, i've got a crappy ~200kbps connection in student accomodation (halls) that times out and has rubbish pings... i'm SO looking forward to Half Life 2 since i can't play UT2004 in my clan anymore

 

so yay for single player offline games!

 

i might install Half Life (the original) while i'm waiting, heh heh... if you like RPG's, Dungeon Siege is pretty cool, and there's an expansion pack for that now, but i can't remember what it's called... meh

 

Max Payne 1 and 2 are fun, although you can complete them fairly fast (relatively of course)

 

Splinter Cell 1 is a lot of fun, the 2nd one is a bit too hold-your-hand-and-guide-you for my liking...

 

Need For Speed Underground 2 is out later this month also
