felidae Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 If you did it how did you do it? So far, the closest I've been able to get with my setup has been to 8951: i7 7700K EVGA 1080ti SC2 ROG Maximus 9 mobo
ir_cow Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 The highest I got was 8920~. I wouldn't put to much thought into those scores because the CPU scores gets factor into it. Someone with 10Core CPU is going to always have a higher score a 4Core, even overclocked to high heavens. If I actually had my 3960X oced to 4.6ghz and not stock I would surpass 9000. ccokeman Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 Nice! Getting about 7500 with a 10 core chip and GTX 1080 running stock speeds.
cchalogamer Posted July 26, 2017 Posted July 26, 2017 I somehow expected that to be harder (CPU is running a bit slow as after my PUBG purchase the other week I had constant crashing and disabled all the things and am still slowly one by one OCing everything back) http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/21229310? It looks like CPU is not a very big factor though, looking and mine and other scores listed here: https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/24060069. I got a CPU score of 11,643 and the GPU score is 7305, but the overall score is 7737.
Braegnok Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 I'm not sure how overall scores are calculated,.. I got a CPU score of 9045 and the GPU score is 9850, for an overall score of 9720. This 3DMark Technical Guide, does shed some light on scoring, see page #24,.. http://s3.amazonaws.com/download-aws.futuremark.com/3DMark_Technical_Guide.pdf

People are getting over 9k with a single card using a i7 8700K.

People are getting over 9k with a single card using a i7 8700K. Of course it is a factor, but GPU is far more important. Looking at the tech guide Braegnok linked, the GPU score is weighted at 0.85 and CPU is weighted 0.15. Look at Braegnok's single GTX 1080Ti and cchalogamer's results and you'll see that while both cross 9000, their CPU scores are quite different, with Breagnok having a CPU score also over 9000 (8700K) and cchalogamer having a CPU score of 6479 (5930K). CPU scores differ by about 3000, yet the overall scores differ by 250.
