Coors Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 as well as enjoy the weather (aka not roast in my 240z with no AC).Good luck with that lol. You think a car with no AC makes you sweaty wait until you're on a bike with no roof, wearing a helmet and hopefully some proper PPE and let us know how much less you sweat
IVIYTH0S Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 I sat on an FZ6 this morning and absolutely loved it. It fit far better than the ninja 600 and I could nearly flat foot it. Well I own an FZ6 now (2007) so this is another bike I can give a nod too

The greenhouse effect makes it even worse. Also when I first hop into it on a hot day, the car's been sitting there and roasting for hours, whereas the bike would only have a warm seat. The only warmer part would be the helmet, but I'm trying to find something that breathes well. What do you guys think about an R6? I found a nice low mileage one at a really nice price. Enjoy your back problems Why not pick up an FZ6, it's 95% of the R6 experiments (ESPECIALLY with modded suspension and stuff) but with more usable midrange power, better looks (I like under seat exhausts), and you won't need a chiropractor after every ride . Plus the fz6 forum is such a great forum, it's the OCC of motorcycle forums! Edited April 14, 2014 by IVIYTH0S

Are the R6s really that much cheaper there?? I guess there'd be a lot more around with the nice weather there but it troubles me that they're a LOT cheaper... (beating, stolen, problems etc...) What's your intended or max budget??
Onion Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 (edited) There's a couple of them, here's one. http://jacksonville.craigslist.org/mcy/4401343586.html I'm looking to spend about $2,000 but can maybe go to $2,500. Here's another. I could talk this thing so far down. http://jacksonville.craigslist.org/mcy/4369780618.html Another. http://ocala.craigslist.org/mcy/4392234255.html And then here are the FZ6s. http://jacksonville.craigslist.org/mcy/4406346570.html http://jacksonville.craigslist.org/mcy/4372487539.html http://jacksonville.craigslist.org/mcy/4353841411.html Edited April 14, 2014 by Onion
IVIYTH0S Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 (edited) The FZ6s are newer but that $1650 R6 is a sweet deal... you could always throw FZ6 bars on it I suppose Edited April 14, 2014 by IVIYTH0S
Onion Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 It's a 1998. Should I? I'm tempted.
IVIYTH0S Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 It's a 1998. Should I? I'm tempted. I'd probably pass since it's likely carbureted, but I know you don't mind that so it's up to you there...though with that in mind many other bikes can come into consideration. Puck Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 $300 over your budget but says negotiable so I'm sure he'll take $2500 cash. Bit far being in Tampa, but you can rent a small trailer if you don't wanna ride it back. I know its a lot more expensive, but you can't really compare a 98 FZ6 to a 2010 Ninja 650. http://tampa.craigslist.org/hil/mcy/4422121260.html for $2500 would be sweet. A lot of bike for a first rider, but its something you can keep a long time and grow into.

Here's a cheap '08 250 Ninja for $1600 (I'm guessing because it looks like it was raced?): http://jacksonville.craigslist.org/mcy/4420960647.html When all else fails: http://jacksonville.craigslist.org/mcy/4393283969.html
