ir_cow Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 (edited) I installed F@H today because I noticed they came out with a new version and it seems to fix alot of issues Ive had in the past like not being able to run SMP or 2 GPUs without majors issues. now everything is up and running I just want to make sure 22k PPD for a 3630k is a good number. seems really low for 6 cores. I also cant seem to find how to dedicate just 4 cores to SMP and leave 2 for windows and GPUs support. Anyone have some ideas? bishop245 Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Your over all PPD looks about the same as mine did before my leak. My rig is a 2600K and 2 gtx 570's
Hyper Threaded Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 PPD is fine for that system, it varies quite a bit depending on which work unit you get.
Hyper Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 By default the new smp client uses all cores, I went in and changed that once trying to figure out what worked best with cpu and gpu clients running and it's under config somewhere. I'm not at home so I cant take a look at it, but if I recall you edit the smp one and there is an option to choose how many cores you want to use.. not sure but you may have to kill it and recreate that one, though it's been a while since I messed with it.
