If you want a list of awesome cartoons, I'm not going to go back and check to make sure these weren't already listed but if I know for a fact one I would mention was listed I won't duplicate (ok 2 flat out exceptions ).

Duplicates doesn't matter haha quite the list there must say I read far more Manga than I ever watch Anime

 

And yeah the assignment was on your passion and well...... she loves her bloody cartoons

Since I don't think anime would count in this thread, I would say Tom and Jerry would be the best cartoon probably of all time. As for new age stuff, futurama and avatar would probably be my best choice.
