H37 Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Im assuming that any basic fan can be used for cooling (Hot air out) and airflow (cool air in) depending on which direction you point(?) the fan during instilation... correct? Just making sure I understand the basics first... Thanks!
Muchoman1 Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Yes, in most cases (pardon the pun) a fan can be used as an intake or exhaust depending on which way it is placed.
bishop245 Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 the normal configuration is front and side intake top and back exhaust but that is not the rule just the norm
Boinker Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 One thing that may help you is the portion of the fan that has the arms that connect the center or motor portion of the fan is where it exhausts.
d6bmg Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 In every fan there is a direction an arrow symbol to show fan rotation direction & another to show airflow direction.
