d6bmg Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Looks great except for CPU, Get 2600K not 2600.
IVIYTH0S Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 (edited) Welcome to OCC! I'm going to guess you aren't in the USA?? Your english is quite good and your build also looks to be well selected Changes I'd make off the bat CoolerMaster V8----> to CoolerMaster 212+ or 212 EVO i7 2600 ------> i7 2600K ASUS Maximus ------> To something that will perform just as well and not be overpriced depending on the resolution of your monitor, the 2GB version of the 6950 might be a waste of money Edited December 11, 2011 by IVIYTH0S
dark_hollow Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 (edited) You guessed well, I'm not from USA, I'm from El Salvador. I come to this forum because I thinked that users in this forum will have more knoweleged about the topic =P Well, I'm searching for places that have this 2600k but I only found them in webstores like amazon, I guess I better buy it from there right? instead of 2600 mmm you said that the motherboard can be replaced right? Is a shame that here in my country, they only have MSI Z68A-GD80 G3, MSI P67A-GD55 B3 and MSI H67MS-E43 (including the Maximus Extreme) I think a p6z68 would be great (it has same perfomance with extreme) but I can only buy it online =/ The issue buying online is that chipping isn't avaible in my country, and the enterprises that offers the service, are very expensive =/ In the future I want to buy another 6950 to crossfire it, so that's why I'm buying the 1000w CM now Also, this is my first build (actually I have a Dell 1545) I'm going to buy a 25'' HP (1080) so I don't know if I must change the GPU for a 1GB ver.? IVIYTH0S Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 I'd personally get the MSI P67A-GD55 since it has the core features and is probably the cheapest P67 available to you (the H67 is probably cheaper but then you couldn't overclock the CPU if you wanted to) If you're only getting a 1920x1080 resolution monitor I'd downsize to a 1GB card! d6bmg Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 For i7-2600, H67MS-E43 will suffice, and would be the best choice as pairing a P67/Z68 based motherboard with a non-K series processor is nothing but waste of money. Otherwise if you like to overclock your processor, then go with i7-2600K and MSI Z68A-GD80 G3. Would be best combo. And if you can afford Maximus IV Extreme Z, then it would be worthy spending extra money on the motherboard, as it is one of the very best motherboard for LGA 1155 processors. Waco Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 If you're only getting a 1920x1080 resolution monitor I'd downsize to a 1GB card! Lower resolution needs less video RAM but that doesn't mean games use less memory - newer games with high-resolution textures can easily eat up 1 GB of RAM even at 640x480 if you crank the texture settings up. dark_hollow Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 I remade my build changing some parts. The new parts will be these instead of the listed before: i7 2600k Corsair Vengeance 16GB 1600 Shapphire 6970 Asus Maximux IV gene-z Tell me if this motherboard is good or it can be changed for other one. Also, this one is cheaper than the Extreme. Also, I'm going to buy them online, stores in my country are out of stock of these Items, and even these parts are cheaper than buying them here ( I dunno why =/ )
Stonerboy779 Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 Can you post the stores you are buying from? Links to them will help us make better informed suggestions. Again as ivy said you could get a similar/better board cheaper, especially if we fb view available products and prices. Even if the site is in Spanish ummm be fine give us a max budget too and we will help you put together the best possible rig. Thats a m-tx board so will be quite small and cramped. dark_hollow Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 (edited) So the Asus maximus isn't a good choice? I'm planning to buy from amazon, so they send the parts to a parent, so he can send them to me to my country. These are the links of the parts that I will buy from amazon (or if there's another cheaper webstore, tell me please) i7 2600k http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004EBUXSA/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER RAM http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004RFBIUU/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER GPU http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004PFVNIY/ref=ox_sc_act_title_6?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER Mobo http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005584ZHQ/ref=s9_hps_bw_g147_ir02?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-9&pf_rd_r=1GD8SQSC6Z2160REQRAJ&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1313187442&pf_rd_i=193870011 Also, help to choose a mobo with z68 chipset, I want to overclock it in a near future and get the h67 and p67 possibilities. Sorry if I don't know too much of the topic, but this is my first build and I never had made a OC =P I want to ask if is good to use for a time a GPU, then buy another one and crossfire it? I think is better to put them together the same time, but can this be bad for the GPU if I put the other one later?
