AOC Monitors

Hey everyone!! I'm looking to buy a new monitor and would like to know if AOC Monitors are good or not. I was thinking of getting Samsung, so which would be better? Also my graphics card is a GTX 550Ti. So I was wondering what's the maximum resolution at which the GTX 550Ti can run games with full graphics? Will it be able to run games like Crysis 2 at 1920x1080 resolution (21.5" monitors), or at 1360x768 resolution (18.5" monitors)? which will be better? AOC or Samsung? and 21.5" or 18.5"? thanks in advance!!! :D

The GTX 550Ti's max resolution is 2560x1600. I prefer larger monitors for gaming, a 21" will do fine. I highly recommend ASUS as a monitor brand, I have used a couple of their monitors and their all great in quality.

I don't think your GPU can run Crysis on Maximum settings at 1920x1080. Maybe at a lower resolution it can but not at full HD res. My GTX 460 can run it on Max settings at full HD with some lag but it gets smoother when I overclock it.

Another thumbs up for Asus. I'm using their 21.5" LED monitor. No dead or stuck pixels, and I haven't noticed anything else wrong. The only I actually searched for was the pixels, though.

I had a AOC V22, which I believe was the companies first LED backlit offering, and perhaps the first LED backlit monitor on the market at the time which is why I bought it... and it had visible color banding/gradients, especially on skin tones. It made porn look awful. Moving skin would make a rhythmic rainbow pattern appear which was green/red/yellow in appearance. Just a FYI. I haven't seen any of their recent monitors however.
