Nyt Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Lol, its locked at 1000mhz core and 1300mhz and for 1000mhz core I cant get it stable as it needs more voltage.
j2t Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 What's your max temps now? How's the sound level? That's what you get watching online porn. Not that I'd know. I can confirm that it is really quiet at 100% so there is no reason to not run it at that. I know the reference cooler on my GTX465 would start to reach annoying levels at about 65%

Nyt Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 No it wont ya pansy!! So you're saying 140 degree celsius VRM temps are good when they could end up like this poor chap's card ?
Nyt Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Ok well the card died . Im sure its because of the cooler , the VRM's were close to 120 degrees c when I last checked. Get the cooler for quietness and not super performance

Get the cooler for quietness and not super performance Well that sucks... The Accelero for the 4870x2 had high VRM issues as well [though mine oddly never did? >.>] Stick the stock cooler back on and start the RMA process
