Sleinous Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 I never run the GPU client when playing games as the GPU client doesnt (as far as im aware) YET support the same intelligent cycle system. So when you run the GPU client, if its on 100% usage it wont scale down, meaning if I play GTA IV or Test Drive Unlimited, I will without doubt get some serious problems My titan fenrir seems to be keeping my CPU at a nice temp considering I never oc'd it So i just keep that running whenever im on, it launches on startup
malmsteenisgod Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Well I just started up my folding client and ran my first unit in over a year and a half. I probably won't be running any more though because it gets too hot.

paulktreg Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 My two 9600GSO's run at anywhere between 80 and 90 degrees centigrade when folding even with some Zalman coolers. They've done this now for approximately 8~12 hours a day for 18 months and aren't showing any signs of giving up just yet. We will see, maybe I'm lucky? Sleinous Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 I think if you treat them well they'll keep going for a while yet My 8400M GT chip cold soldered on me and Sony refuses to replace the mainboard even though Nvidia should be covering these chips, supposedly my model isnt affected, even though many MANY people have had the same problems as those with models covered by Sony... Pink lines on screen? Getting harder to see anything, so i'm kinda pleased I have my proper PC now Means I can actually GPU fold and not worry about cheap Sony knock-offs. slick2500 Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Kind of off topic but I can seem to get the folding sig image thing to work. It stopped working when we updated the forums. I get this error [#10210] invalid_ext when I try to save it.

Guest_Jim_* Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Kind of off topic but I can seem to get the folding sig image thing to work. It stopped working when we updated the forums. I get this error [#10210] invalid_ext when I try to save it. I remember there being a topic about that somewhere, and we did find a way to get it to work again. I don't remember the problem of the fix, but I didn't add the image to my sig until after the change. Here's the code in my sig, hopefully that will help.
