I had ordered a bunch of 5970`s to sell so with the profit I made on Ebay i`m going to get myself another one and crossfire them. Dynamic Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 Newegg special on a PSU? You never ever want to take a shortcut on a PSU. The PSU is the heart of the system dude, specially when you crossfire it. i7920hd5970 Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 (edited) Yes yes I know i went on a whim. Seems to be holding up fine. I just ordered a corsair off of newegg. Having them overnight it. Thanks for smacking some sense into me. My buddy ran his 4870x2 in crossfire on this powersupply for about 6-7 months and he has not had any troubles with his. Then I just bought a 55 inch led samsung tv that I am going to hookup to it as well. Also anyone that's looking to get a 5970 and you have an antec case like mine you need to remove the hdd bay (the middle bay that holds hdd). I love this small case it has tons of air flow an it keeps all my components relatively cool.
