Hey,

I am currently using the Intel Stock HSF on my Core i7 rig (see signature), but running prime95, i reached load temperatures of over 80oC on STOCK SPEEDS :O

But i was planning on purchasing a new cooler anyway so I can overclock my system. I am not sure which cooler i should get though so I would like a second opinion. Here is what i want from the cooler:

u want the noctual d14 with push/pull 2 fans. I have a V8 coolermaster but it does a mediocre job. all air coolers are up to a point. also consider noctua's thermal compound vs arctic silver, because it has no burn-in period and conducts better.

temp wise try to stay below 70 if you want your CPU to live beyond tomorrow, man. may want to undervolt as auto setting may be overvolting the CPU. stock cooler does very badly on the i7.
