unknownuser200 Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 (edited) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of...rocessing_units http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of...rocessing_Units these can give you a starting point... but remember wikipedia can be edited by any local idiot so the information may not always be 100% correct but it is a good place to get ideas to start research... Timmy94 Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Check out the comparison charts at techarp [the full lists]. From top to bottom is pretty much the order of their release.
Larzeee Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 I was searching Google using "GPU History" as keywords but the search results wasn't that satisfying. Google thought I'm looking for "Gay People's Union". But I found this using "Graphics Card History" as keywords. From Voodoo to GeForce: The Awesome History of 3D Graphics

It's actually pretty hard to edit them now, you need to post a handful verified and sourced information usually.

IVIYTH0S Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 ehhh someone changed it back lol... there some people get mad when you change it lol... but it said unknownuser200 was here.... all you have to do is hit edit Ah I see, but yeah I know there are alot of people who strive to keep them truthful on there. I remember I tried to edit Reggaeton's page to have the music's description read "nearly 90% or more of the music from this genre has the same beat". It didn't last long before they changed it back (even though I was telling the truth)
cjloki Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of...rocessing_unitshttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of...rocessing_Units these can give you a starting point... but also there's this well known curve http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moore%27s_law most computer science students are aware of ...it basically says that transistor counts will double every 2 years. if you klik the chart you'll see the latest inclusions are gpu's
Zertz Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 I remember I tried to edit Reggaeton's page to have the music's description read "nearly 90% or more of the music from this genre has the same beat". It didn't last long before they changed it back (even though I was telling the truth) 90% of statistics are made up on the fly. I'd delete that too without any sort of facts to back up your claim
