TropicalPreist Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 I've been reading reviews for monitors in general and found this beauty. http://www.amazon.com/Hewlett-Packard-30-I..._pr_product_top http://www.pcworld.com/reviews/product/298...5_black_30.html Is there anything better? I've generally been looking for the best 24-27 inch monitor possible. Budget is around $550 but if everyone likes this monitor i just might save a lil more. -Mike
tkrow21 Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 I personally love the connectivity of Dell monitors. http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/product...mp;sku=222-7175 If you can't go up that high then the Samsung is also a nice alternative... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16824001098 I'm not saying that the HP is bad in any way, just giving you some choices. Silverfox Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 This thread title is full of win. +1 for Dell. I hear only good things. The Gateway panel is meant to be okay too. Ask ccokeman - he's got a decent 30" panel.

unknownuser200 Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 They dont make the gateway anymore do to it having blackout issues or problems with short lifes they all seem to have. Dont get me wrong there a very nice monitor but i would recommend this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16824005115 or a samsung

potatochobit Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 a 500$ budget for a 30" your best options would be a hansG (not sure how much they currently cost) or a 32" LCD TV the only good computer monitors in 30" are going to run you at least around 1000$ as you have already come to find out if you plan to mostly game I would not go with a 2560 res monitor unless your computer has the right stuff something like an xbox360 would be a complete waste as well, I would go with a samsung 40" Ln40B630 for console gaming
unknownuser200 Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 i didnt see the budget... goodluck getting one for that cheap.. mine was 740$ used and thats cheapest deal i found to this day... if its his rig in sig.. he sould be fine.. more hardcore games i might sugguest another 280 for dual sli
