I don't really trust sparkle, it only has a 1-year warranty and is AFAIK a relatively new comer to graphics cards.

As far as the DDR2/3 debate, DDR3 speeds aren't really that necessary yet. There isn't a real big improvement.

For aftermarket CPU coolers, they are necessary if you want to overclock, otherwise not really. Although I've heard the Phenom II's run hot...

ok sorry for late update

i went today

couldn't find any of the motherboards i listed - Intel is Dominating the market here i guess >.< -

i did however find

MSI 790FX-GD70

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...SI%20790FX-GD70

and for graphic cards i found

Gigabyte GTX275

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814125290

MSI ATI Readon HD 4890

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814127427

both GPUs are for the exact same price , was wondering should i go with GTX - bad butt look if u ask me -

or the MSI for the MSI Mobo Crossfire support ?

i also manged to squeez a good Deal on the 955BE and taking it for 300$

am going again 2morrow for the last time then i'll update the whole Build :)

so as far as my options right now

is this Mobo good or should i keep looking ?

and a fast noob question

how do i know if the screen am about to buy is supporting high resolutions ? in other words what should i be looking for when buying a 21 LCD screen ?

so far ,

loai

edit : adult filter is fun:D

That MSI 790FX-GD70 looks to be a nice motherboard. I've had my eye on it for a bit now. Looks like a good overclocker. If the 4890 and the GTX275 are the same price and I only intended to run one graphics card I'd get the GTX275.

thank you for the reply ^^

so get the Mobo if i don't find anyother option in market , am not planning on overclocking , most definitly thinking about OCing since i haven't tried that yet :D , not befor 4 months from now tho

so that's it for the GPU, i'll check 2morrow for the rest befor i post the final Build :)

any piece of advice on the LCD selection ?

CPU = AMD Phenom II x4 955BE

Motherboard = MSI 790FX-GD70

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...SI%20790FX-GD70

and the gigabyte i just linked is going for 150$ good price imo

the Antec 900 is Midtower ? i can look again for midtowers , but i thought Full Tower were best for cooling and space ? let alone the enormous size of the GPU , will it fit in midtower i can take a look 2morrow ans report :D

system i can post easily , scores and temps can u direct me to few programms that would take record of that and i'll post it :D

the gigabyte you sent was $179.99 , antec 1200 169 , and mid tower or not as long as there is a ton of fans then it will cool better, as for the space the antec 902 was not tall , but it is wide and can take 2 gtx 295 and the fact that it comes with 4 fans one of the is 20 cm

and the option of putting two more fans and it`s price this is why it is perfect and it comes with dust filters and that is very handy .......

any way go with the one you want , but if i were you , i would pick antec ( 902, 1200) ...............

good luck..............:).................:)...........:)...........:)..........:) ...................................

boh , shouldnt have checked the net for whats BEST should have checked my local stores first :O

today is friday it's like sunday over the US only few stores open

found the 955BE going for around 450$

940BE going for around 300$

graphic cards , couldnt find any ATI i'll look again 2morrow when everyone is opened , i did however find a Sparkle GTX275 for 450$ as well,,,

Motherboards : DDR3 only means i can't place the lesser DDR2 on it ?:O that's a shame :( i'll look for them and go with either - which one is better ?-

another question does the BE AMD requires a CPU cooler or it's fine with it's own Cooler ?

where do you live ..?

300 for 940 ......... <_<

no matter what you do , do not get these ( sparkle , galaxy, ....and there is more but i do not remember them, power color as well )

look for : ( gigabyte, asus, xfx, evga, msi, sapphire, bfg) i do not like bfg btw

, the BE cpus feature an unlock multiplier , in another words : very easy to overclock .....

that is all you can put the stock heat sink and oc or not , but when oc it you will increase the clock from 3.2 to 3.4 at max

if you are planing on overclocking then get a good after market heat sink

if you are not the stock one will do ,

ok time to update :)

Built the PC , connected everything together and installed windows 7 (build 7600)

1. Scores : post-68612-1252722381_thumb.png

good scores or did i do something wrong ?:O

2. CPU Temp : post-68612-1252722648_thumb.png

same question :) is it good ? - also the CPU Cooling fan is making a Bit noise , kinda unnoticed untile i turn off the PC and feel complete silence for a moment ?-

3. GPU Temp :

ok here's whats scaring me .

a. normal temp ,

post-68612-1252722705_thumb.png

( when playing Crysis at High Details the temp reaches 72-75)

i used Riva Tuner and changed the Fan speed to 65%

few points i'd like to understand please :)

increasing fan speed will lead to reduced life span?

the fan it self ,can it be replaced easily or i need to send the card back to manufacture\store ?

b. after increasing the fan speed

post-68612-1252723290_thumb.png

havent tried it with crysis yet thought i'd make sure nothing will go wrong if i force the GPU :)

PS : the 2 out-take fans at the rear are both connected and working perfectly with no noise at all + a cool Blue light ^^ , the Anterior intake one is also working

il'l try uploading few pictures of the case and cable mangement once am back from Hospital tommorrow

So Far ,

Loai

Edit : after shutting down the fan speed goes back to it's 40% sspeed ?.
