GabrielT Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 (edited) People Pencils If you die what do you want to have done with your body? I stumbled across this earlier today and I think it's really cool. The idea is your cremated remains can get turned into writing utensils! I don't know if this topic has been up before but I think its cool. Edited August 15, 2009 by gabrieltessin
scr4wl Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 That's kinda cool. Although isn't the graphite/human the part that should go back into the box to make the urn? I wanna be made into a taco when I die
ClayMeow Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 My grandmother insists on being cremated and split into two urns, one for my dad and one for my aunt. Maybe I should send her this link instead...at least it's a little more useful
Andrewr05 Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 I like the comment on that site: "Not for people who chew on their pencils obviously." lmao
SenitaL Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 You can actually get your ashes turned into a diamond, seeing as we are techinically carbon based beings, so thats what id do to my worthy enemies, burn - diamondise - wear on my ear (evil laugh)
Verran Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 You can actually get your ashes turned into a diamond, seeing as we are techinically carbon based beings, so thats what id do to my worthy enemies, burn - diamondise - wear on my ear (evil laugh) There are people in my family (that we avoid whenever possible) who do this. When the girl told me "this ring is Grandma So-and-so", I pretty much made up my mind about her right there. Wow.
slugbug Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 I'd like to turn my brother in law into a turnip. He's halfway there already
Kash Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 You can actually get your ashes turned into a diamond, seeing as we are techinically carbon based beings, so thats what id do to my worthy enemies, burn - diamondise - wear on my ear (evil laugh) I read that a while ago and think it's a neat concept. What you could do is have some sort of heirloom to hold the various family members and pass it on. Future generations would then point at the various diamonds and state who each one was. I just think it would be cool.
Deathmineral Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 I don't know... seems to me like you might end up like pokemon cards or something in a few generations... kids start trading their "parent rings" around and eventually you get dropped in a drain by accident... I personally think being ashes is a better alternative.
scr4wl Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 I personally think being ashes is a better alternative. Yah that way you just get tossed in an ocean or something. Or better yet a sandpit. No offence to anyone who wants to be ashes.
Deathmineral Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Well I would like to think I would be kept in an old mayonnaise jar at the very least... I'm no expert but I can't see how my ashes are going to help save the oceans.
scr4wl Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 I thought the point of being cremated was for people to spread your ashes. I know some are kept in urns though.
