Blackninja543 Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 OK i currently have a 9800 GTX+http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814130339(), an Antec SLK3800B(http://www.antec.com/Believe_it/product.php?id=Njcw), and a 19" LCD(Not Wide Screen). At some point I will be upgradeing all 3 of these things, hopefully before my next semester of college. I was wondering if anyone had some advice on what i should upgrade first. Im leaning towards a new monitor since newegg curently has a sale on a 22" 1080p by Asus on sale(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16824236053). Iv had the antec case for freaking forever and love it. Instead of buying a new case i was going to add a window and other fancy object and doohickeys to it. So if anyone has a suggestion on what i should do if i would love input on it. Thx
Coors Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 I'd get the monitor first.

Zertz Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 Monitor. Case doesn't really matter and your video card is pretty good
WhenKittensATK Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 Get the monitor first. Case is probably the last thing you need to worry about. Unless it's too small or it gets really hot inside.
Blackninja543 Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 Case is fine, just tired of looking at the same old thing after about 6 years. Would rly like to mod it or something to make it look better but i guess that will have to be another project for later. Coors Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 I'm hoping this thread has a video imbeded. Blackninja543 Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 One last question I have, the 9800 i have is by EVGA, and they did not include the 2 pin SPDIF cable to hook up to my board for HDCP. The 9800s also have the HDCP locked so my HDMI TV will not pick up the AUX sound. My question is where the hell can i get a spdif cable, since EVGA offers them for $15 thats my last ditch place to get one. paulktreg Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 (edited) Personally I'd be looking to replace your power supply first especially if you're considering overclocking. Have a look at this review over at JonnyGURU. Cheers Paul Edited June 15, 2009 by paulktreg
Blackninja543 Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 Do you think that would fix the issues I was having while OCing my 9800. Any amount of OCing i did to it would cause the shades to begin degrading and you end up getting the fun little lines through everything.
