(mmo)RPG Suggestions

I was looking around on Steam and I almost bought the Titan Quest pack but I backed down...

Is there anything better out now?

I'd love to try TQ at some point but I'm just wondering if there are any comparable (equivalent or better) rpgs out that are newer?

No subscription preferable and sp or mp...

I'll probably just buy TQ and give that a try but I figured I'd ask you guys if you can think of anything better at this point...

Any prefernces like online etc? Price range.

I used to play 2Moons, it is really fun and free too, you pay real money for like souped up items but they are not really necessary and not having them doesn't really affect game experience

I've played like ~20 different free online mmorpgs, a lot o them are good but I'm looking to try something different.

I was just wondering about retail games like titan quest...

I just re downloaded Diablo II, I'll play this for awhile.

However I'd still like some opinions on MMO's (preferably not the dime a dozen free ones that I've played over and over), anything better than TQ or should I just get TQ?

Does it have to be free?

I have been EAGERLY awaiting Champions Online for well over a year now. Open beta should be soon(closed has been going on for months and it is due Sept 1st), and it looks to be like one to watch out for.

Near limitless customization goes a long way. I hate seeing other people online who look just like me, and this game will make sure that NEVER happens. Pretty much if you can dream it up, you can make it happen. Just browse through the "Rate my Champions" submissions to see the huge variety.

It looks pretty cool, however I'm not sure about the super hero aspect...

*shrugs*

I'll give it a try though...

(If I can get into he beta)

Don't buy Titan Quest.

People said it was the same thing as Diablo II, so, being a huge fan, I bought it.

It's horrible.

Well this thread begs to differ...

Are you kidding me?! In some ways it's even better than D2 (though overall I'd still choose D2 simply because it was revolutionary for its time). TQ has the best graphics of any Action-RPG I've played, it's got a great class/skill system and the storyline is decent as well. I'm sure D3 will top it, but for now, I'd definitely choose TQ over any Action-RPG out there, including (revisiting) D2.

Andrew, I'd definitely recommend TQ, but it's not an MMO anymore than D2 is an MMO, so if you're truly looking for an MMO you should look elsewhere. The last free MMO I played was Requiem: Bloodymare. It was fun and there really wasn't any good reason I stopped playing. In fact, I've been thinking of starting up again...but every time I consider playing, I'm like "nah, it's TF2 time!"

I thought I responded to this already.

Must have exited Firefox before hitting 'Add Reply'.

Oh well...

Yeah the MMO aspect of this thread was just an option...

I've actually got an account for Requiem, I just have to download the client...

I guess it differs from person to person.

Maybe Diablo is the only exception for me, as I'm an FPS fan.

But be warned, no one plays multiplayer and the gameplay gets old; fast.
