scr4wl Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Why would you want a pentium? 7750 all the way.
cchalogamer Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Why would you want a pentium? 7750 all the way. Because it also has upgrade options that kick butt also, though of the choices the 7750 is by far the way to go for performance NOW. (Though hell now that AMD's got their act together on the mid-upper end the 7750 sounds even better. (not to mention the flexibility of the upgrades)
The Smith Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 It is written here that AMD was supposed to launch a new Athlon at the same time as the Phenom II X4 955. Strangely enough, the X2 7850 BE is not available yet, so I guess it will be very soon. Apparently it will be clocked at 2.8GHz, so you might want to wait for that one. Good luck
Baulten Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 (edited) I'm fairly sure the 7750 is far better than either the Pentium D or Pentium Dual-Cores, considering those were beat by even the Athlon X2s. Edit, also, AMD is launching the Callisto dual cores based on the Phenom II core next month. They'll have 6 MB L3 Cache, and 512kb/core of L2 cache. They're harvested from Phenom II x4 chips Edited April 26, 2009 by Baulten
TheScavenger Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 The AMD is super cheap right now and you should get it up to 3.2GHz+. Josh
