Krieg1337 Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 If you can find a GTX295 that would be perfect. You could always go with a GTX285 though And the 9800GX2 is pretty bad, sometimes the performance drops really low because it is not very good. taylorolsen11 Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 i play games on a 32" tv and i play at 1900x1200
taylorolsen11 Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 and again would the two gtx 260 FTW be faster than 2 gtx 280 and are the 285 really worth the money
IVIYTH0S Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 get a 4850x2 and be done, you don't need two video cards to handle that resolution (4850x2>285 and costs less)
PaiN Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 (edited) and again would the two gtx 260 FTW be faster than 2 gtx 280and are the 285 really worth the money Why would you think two 260s would be faster than two 280s? Anyway do yourself a favor, if you want top SLI performance get a 295. less power consumtion, less heat, less space and less latency than dual cards edit: oh crap...they seem to be sold out everywhere :X http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList....amp;srchInDesc= Edited February 20, 2009 by PaiN
IVIYTH0S Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 but a 295 would be a waste, save yourself 200 dollars and get the 4850x2 (one of them) and just run that. hell even one 260 at 1920x1200 would run everything maxed out (mine does)

Reading what he posts would be a good idea
ir_cow Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 no single game is worth $500 and crysis sure isn't worth droping $200 for a new card.
