I was just curious how many of you have screwed up your computers overclocking. If you did break a component, please tell us what it is.

So far my "overclocking body count" is at 1. When I had my ecs k7s5a and a duron 1ghz @ 1.33 ghz, I tried to voltage-mod the duron (since the k7s5a didn't support changing practically anything) using the bridges on the cpu. Let's just say it didn't work. It was a shame, too. That was a great overclocking duron...it would run stable at 1.38 ghz and would post at 1.43, and that was on a board that sucked at overclocking.

not yet... I have melted my teachers presenter (vga -> rca thing) and made her room smell like crap... :D plugged in the wrong power cord... it was kinda funney... I smelled something... tried to pick up converter and noticed I left a fingerprint in the plastic :P
