ARandomOWL Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Thanks hornybluecow, if everyone has a similiar idea then I probably wont go above 1.65 & thats if i can keep temps down. Is that the only reason for mention of WCing?
Gr4vitas Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Yea about 1.65-1.7v with water and I wouldn't go past 1.41 ish on air. (good air)
ARandomOWL Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Is there any reason for not running 1.65V on air except the temp?
damian Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Is there any reason for not running 1.65V on air except the temp? Just the fact that the cooler will have a hard time keeping the temps down while water can handle the extra heat produced by the voltages. Still pushing it though
ccokeman Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 You will need to find out the total wattage the heatsink can handle. My tuniq toer starts to go into convulsions at 1.55 on a Q6600. It just cannot handle the load even with 2 110CFM fans.
