So what i was wondering how good a 9600 pro or fx5600 ultra would be for gaming at those resolutions.. O(V)eGA_l2el) Posted December 14, 2003 Posted December 14, 2003 1024x768 here B) If I purchase a 19" CRT some day, I will increase to 1280x1024 (depending on the game) Sometimes I can not read text in resolutions higher than 1024x768; Dungeon Siege's text is hard to read at higher resolutions. frictionboy Posted December 16, 2003 Posted December 16, 2003 i run 1280x1024 all the time unless i'm ouputing to my 50" tv, then the most you can do is 1024x768 w/o the image being to big to fit on the screen. <_< it's a whole different matter on a tv than on a monitor though, normal tv shows and dvd's only use 480xsomthin resolution, so anything above that looks superb. anyways back on topic... i have a 9600pro, and i always use 1280x1024 w/ all details maxed, and it never falters. basically, you just want above 30 fps, because your eyes can't even tell the difference w/ more than that anyways. big-production movies only use about 30 fps, and thats i've never seen any movie that needed more Share this post Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
