Glitch05 Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 What are your mem timings? What is your mem divider set to? Have you read the Difinative Guide?
stockclocker Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 Along the lines of what Glitch05 said, did you underclock your RAM before overclocking your CPU? Also, I actually found that by running stock timings, I couldn't underclock the RAM to overclock to CPU! But then I tried tight timings, 2-3-2-5 and I could underclock the RAM and overclock the CPU over 230....
Glitch05 Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 Stockclocker, If you upgrade your PSU, you will get WAY WAY more out of your machine. I had a 450W and I couldnt go past 220*10. I got my 600W, and I'm at 275*10.
jwong744 Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 rockie I have the same problem with my setup going past 250, so i went with 240 x 11. Running great at 1.42, prime stable for 8 hrs. i'm new to this, so i don't know if this is a good setting. But you might try it. CustomBuild Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 Past 250 you will need to lower your HTT multi. HTT can become unstable above 1000. At x4 your HTT=1000, anything above that will take it over 1000. Try lowering it to x3.

Glitch05 Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 PEOPLE, LOOK AT YOUR PSU'S!!!!! You cant expect to get good overclocks on anything less than 600W. And if you do, You'll soon be buying new components as your PSU will burn down and kill your entire computer!
Coors Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 A 550 watt psu is more than sufficient.
