Sorrento Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Yeah, I think the same... its not as tough as the other programs. Thanks Praz
arklab Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 I purchased the current Everest Ultimate. How good is the built-in stability test?

Praz Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 I purchased the current Everest Ultimate. How good is the built-in stability test? Other then starting it a few times I've never used it. It will fully load both cores of a DC processor and raise the temperature comparable to other more popular programs. But I have seen very little info regarding what methods it uses to stress the cpu and memory.
jaz Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 aeka, here is what you're looking for. Just burn the whole thig to a bootable cd using nero ultra 7, if you have it, or some other good cd-dvd burning program-->http://stealth17.dreamhosters.com/hosting/custom/

boywander Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Was about to mention Orthos before seeing that post. Not sure about other progs, but found that dual-priming with it set to test more mem in total than was currently available (not tied up with OS/apps) resulted in immediate BSODs and restarts. Mind, this was running the sig rig with inferior mem, before getting decent stuff. Should maybe check what's being used first though, and adjust. Good thread, no excuses now. edit - Sorry, I meant Prime95. Unrelated comments.
Praz Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 If you specify the same amount of memory in Orthos that Happy_Games does in Prime95 there shouldn't be any issues. 400MB per instance for 1GB and 800MB per instance of 2GB of memory.
