21Motorcraft Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 What kind of case? What kind of psu?(520 watt doesn't necessarily mean anything..) Temps don't look too good if that is idle......

Battle_Rattle Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 Here is temperatures or my rig.. does it looks ok?... Temperatures Motherboard 48 °C (118 °F) CPU 42 °C (108 °F) North Bridge 54 °C (129 °F) GPU 58 °C (136 °F) Seagate ST3200826AS 31 °C (88 °F) Seagate ST3200826AS 33 °C (91 °F) Those are very close to being a concern. They're high across all areas. Again...how many case fans do you have? Are the fans divided between exhaust and intake fans? Have you checked temps through the bios and/or more than one program (everest/sisoft/speedfan)? WHat's the ambient Temp (i.e. are you in a shack out in the Sahara?) Darkorb Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 check for dust, ur mobo/cpu/north bridge are high for being idle, ur video card is fine and so are ur hdd's
bcbooter Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 these can also be related to a crummy sensor. I would try and get more fans and a good controller. then make sure you have good airflow right over the mofsets.(sinked area right of the cpu) also if you are using the stock heatsink with stock thermal pad, then i suggest that you put on some As5 or equivalent thermal paste. bitmap Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 Dust is an abomination!!!! I personally keep my rig in a "low-dust" environment room with a can of compressed air on the desk..always!
