WintersFury Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 A lot of the new heatpipes don't use a liquid afaik. They use a solid. I'm 99% sure on this. However as always I can be wrong
ExtraPickles Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 I'm still trying to find a TR SI-128 somewhere that has them in stock.SVC has them in stock. -pickles
Redrum Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 I used this Artic Freezer Pro 64 and replaced the stock fan with a low speed paniflo. Its on a naked Opty 146 running 290x10 at 1.45 volts. Runs 27 idle and 38 full load in a 70 degree ambiant room and its very quiet. Also very cheap to buy pricewise. http://svc.com/acfzp64.html
drmalenko Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 Its doubtful that i will ever use Arctic products again as the fan that fell off my HS was made by them.. it had been on less than a week and then i found it laying in the bottom of my case, sooo glad i had a window... and no it was not due to mounting it.... it broke loose from the actual mounting bracket it came with, seems the rubber dry rotted and then fell apart... i was so disappointed.. i had bought it new from svc.com
Redrum Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 I didn't care for the rubber mounts either and thats one reason I changed to the fan of my choice and strapped it on with zip ties. But it does work well I must admit.

FXed Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 SVC has them in stock. -pickles Thanks EP! I was running MemTest all day and benchmarks for my new RAM, so I didn't see this right away. I've never dealt with SVC, so are they any good?
ilikeducttape Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 yes, they are really good. they are good friends of dfi-street. if you decide to buy something from them, be sure to use the link in Happy's sig to get there so that the street will get a kickback from your purchase.
