Alienwhere Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 You would probably need an external temp monitor and munt it under the cpu mount on the mobo then take the tepmps from there and adjust them as u see fit, SOme ppl say its 7 deg off some say its 10 so who really knows.. bullit Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 well what i meant to say it´s that for a motherboard made for overclocking that it´s completely insane. It´s like having a Porche 911 and your tachimeter it´s reading wrong.. ,and you say well buy a external tachymeter...come on ...DFI should made a new bios or recall the motherboards that are reading wrong. The problem is not all Expert boards read the temperature probe the same. Some appear to be correct while others are way off. I'm assuming that the temprature probes they installed may be faulty, or not reading at spec from whoever DFI purchased them from, in any case you CAN'T make a bios that will account for all the variations. Obviously it isn't really replaceable, recalling that many motherboards would be too difficult, plus most of us wouldn't want to be without a board for a month. If you really want to make an assumption, just set it to read 10C higher, on average thats the difference people have been seeing. Guest Tmod Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 Obviously it isn't really replaceable, recalling that many motherboards would be too difficult, Abit had a big problem with most if not all of their KT7 motherboards with bad capacitors on them and offered to fix them for free. DFI should at least step up to the plate and offer a free fix for it. With the kind of money that board cost and the componets that are supposedly top notch there is little reason to have this problem in the first place. bullit Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 Thanks TMod...the question it´s not if is indispensable but if a board of that price have sucha a flaw and the maker until now doesn´t do nothing to fix it...
